Playa Gran is the main beach of  Tossa de Mar. From the foot of the city walls, it stretches out towards the north at a length of about 600 metres. The sandy beach is interrupted by stones in some places which some may find uncomfortable.
The promenade offers an abundance of restaurants, bars, and all manner of boat trips, watersports etc.. The kayak tour with a view of the magnificent Old Town, particularly of the city walls, is highly recommended. The beach offers disabled access, lifeguard, WCs and showers
