Party Benidorm

Party, party, party! Benidorm nightlife

Benidorm’s nightlife has something for everyone, from bars with terraces, where you can enjoy a quiet drink whilst watching the sun go down over the Mediterranean, to clubs and cabarets, where you can dance and party until the sun comes up. Almost 200 disco-pubs give the town the party atmosphere it is so famous for. Visit the historical centre and the area around Paseo de Levante to enjoy a ‘caña’ in the more traditional Spanish bars or pint of bitter or refreshing cider in the English pubs located in the area around Calle Gerona, Ibiza, Mallorca and Londres. If you feel like clubbing until the early hours, the nightclubs on the main road towards Altea are the perfect place for you and, if you prefer to watch someone else doing the dancing, the Benidorm Palace is a great venue to take in a show.

Benidorm Palace

The Benidorm Palace has shows for all ages, ranging from a SpongeBob SquarePants musical to flamenco fusion and acrobats. The Benidorm Palace first opened its doors to the public in 1977 and since then has become one of Spain’s most prestigious venues, staging both national and international acts. During the day, it is also an important venue for congresses and business conventions. You can have dinner, watch a show and dance on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, all year round. Doors open at 8.30 pm and shows start at 10 pm. A range of tickets is available, from dinner and a drink at 28 euros, to a choice of two menus at either 45 or 55 euros for adults, vegetarian and gluten-free menus are also available, and a children’s menu at 23 euros. Bookings can be made on-line or at the venue’s box office during the day from 10 am to 8 pm Monday and Wednesday and from 10 am to 10 pm the rest of the week, except Sunday, when the venue is closed. It is also possible to book a hotel room if you don’t wish to travel far after the show. See their website for more information

How to get there: The Benidorm Palace is located on Avenida Doctor Severo Ochoa, one of Benidorm’s biggest avenues. It is not far from the main road N-332 and the AP-7 motorway. Numerous bus routes pass along the avenue including numbers 1,4,5,10,11,14 and16.

Bars and nightclubs

If there is something that Benidorm is not short of, it’s bars. All along the seafront you can find pubs and bars of different kinds, both Spanish and English, offering everything from a quiet glass of wine, to televised football matches and live music.

Further back from the beach, the city centre and main shopping area is also dotted with bars with terraces and restaurants. Find Spanish and English bars side by side up on the so-called ‘Balcón del Meditérraneo’ between Benidorm’s longest beaches Playa Levante and Playa Poniente. Many of them also do food, so you can have a good meal before hitting the town. You shouldn’t have to go far to find one that you like. There is a great party atmosphere in Benidorm, even in winter in the daytime, with live music enticing people to stop off and have a drink whilst taking in the views. At night, Benidorm is a popular destination for hen and stag parties, a lot of them easy to spot wearing costumes and cowboys hats. Popular bars along the seafront are Heartbreak, Daytona Rock and Penelope Beach Club. The bigger nightclubs can be found a little way out of town, on the main road towards Altea, such as Penelope Benidorm, KM and Privilegex, where you can party away until dawn.
