Miami Platja Travel Guide

Miami Platja is part of the municipal district of Mont-roig del Camp. However, due to its privileged location by the sea and its concept of tourism Miami Platja has almost become more well-known than the town that it belongs to.

Miami Platja: beaches and coves

Miami Platja has the Catalonian term for beach in its name. Whoever named this coastal town couldn’t have done a better job. Miami Platja boasts wide spectacular beaches, as well as numerous coves sheltered by low cliffs (see: Beaches Miami Platja). The entire Miami Platja coastline is worth a visit. In Miami Platja, beach tourists seeking peace and quiet are in good hands.

Given these fantastic views, it hardly matters that Miami Platja doesn’t have a historical centre. Nor will you find places of interest like cultural institutions or a leisure area (see:  Nightlife Miami Platja).

Tourism in Miami Platja, an oasis of tranquility

In order to attract both national and international tourists to Miami Platja, nothing more is needed than apartment blocks, three campsites (see: Camping Miami Platja) and a few hotels. Visitors return year after year thanks to the splendid landscapes that are reflected in the well-kept beaches, the clean waters and the cliffs covered with wild vegetation sheltering small beaches hidden in their coves.

However, you mustn’t get the wrong idea that this is a centre for mass tourism. On the contrary, Miami Platja is relatively quiet all year round, including in the high season. On its extensive beaches there is always plenty of space and the part of the town that is away from the sea is never too busy.

Active or relaxing holidays in Miami Platja

Those who are looking for holidays with sun, sea and sand combined with peace and quiet will feel right at home in Miami Platja.

What’s more, tourists who fancy going on an excursion have nearby towns such as L’Hopsitalet de l’Infant, Cambrils (see: Cambrils travel guide), Mont-roig del Camp or Salou (see: Salou travel guide) close at hand.
