Playa del Ponent in Salou

A long, wide beach between the port and the edge of the town

Playa del Ponent is one of Salou’s main beaches. It stretches along 1.2 km of coastline from the southernmost point of Salou up to the port. The esplanade Passeig de Miramar borders the beach from start to finish. Touching the port, the beach widens out and has shaded seating areas under the trees, a children’s play area and several sports facilities.

The rest of Playa del Ponent measures 30 m across. The sand is fine and golden and slopes only slightly, so the water at the shore is not very deep. Playa del Ponent is visited by a mixed public of all ages.
