Santa Clotilde gardens

Located on a steep coast between Lloret de Mar and Blanes are Catalan Noucentisme style, extensive gardens.

The Jardins Santa Clotilde gardins, which were completed in 1919, are the result of a successful attempt to unite a Renaissance element with the French horticultural knowledge of the constructor Nicolau Maria Rubió o Tudurí with the demands of the contractee, the Marquis de Roviralta. What is captivating about the gardens is their geometric shapes and their breathtaking location, directly above the steep slope with a view out onto the open sea and the Cala Boadella beach below.
At the edge of the gardens, in a meadow directly on the slope, there are several lovely little deckchairs: perfect for a short, relaxing break with a seaview. Those who are in search of exotic plants would be better served visiting the botanic gardens in Blanes, Mar i Murtra or Pinya de Rosa, which are, however, inaccessible with public transport.
