Playa Sabanell is the most southerly and, at 2500 metres, also the longest beach in Blanes. This beach starts at the southern end of the town and stretches to the rocky Sa Palomera Peninsula. Playa Sabanell is a sandy beach which offers guests of the hotels and the numerous camping sites, which are in part located directly on the promenade, the comfort and facilities of a fully developed beach, including lifeguards, restaurants etc.
Here, boat tours to nearby neighbouring areas are available as well as a variety of watersports. Additionally, there is a cycle path along the promenade: a rarity on the Costa Brava.
On the evenings traders sell their merchandise on the promenade. From carved African figures to simple necklaces and rings, there is something for everyone. During the months of July and August Playa Sabanell can be relatively crowded.
