Together, the three rocks, Sa Palomera, Sa Pujola and Es Portell, form a picturesque rock formation between the Playa de Blanes and S’Abanell town beaches in the centre of Blanes. Every summer, during the final week of July, the International Fireworks Contest takes place at the Fiesta Mayor in celebration of the town festival. This tradition goes back as far as 1906. A walk on the rocks, which jut out into the sea, is highly recommended: fantastic view of the promenade!
