Blanes boasts a wide range of different restaurants. From simple kebabs to more up-market restaurants, there is something for everyone.
At the harbour of Blanes there are a variety of fish and seafood restaurants with lovely terraces where you can sit and enjoy a relaxing meal. At the Playa Sabanell town beach you can find what are known as “Chiringuitos”, beach restaurants at regular intervals. They serve fish, meat, snacks and tapas at reasonable prices. The restaurant at Cala Sant Francesc cove offers good fresh fish and is frequented predominantly by local guests.
Most restaurants can be categorized within the lower price range. Even during peak season it is possible to find a full evening meal on the promenade for up to €15-20.
For those who enjoy fish and seafood and would like to see it in its natural, pre-cooked state, you can go down to the harbour after 4pm to watch the fisherman unloading, with their precious loads slung over their shoulders. A particular delicacy, but also expensive, are the prawns from Blanes, the Gambas de Blanes.
In Blanes the Catalan champagne, Cava, is produced. Upon request by telephone, you can visit the Caves Mont Ferrant cellars on Carrer Abat Escarré street (5 mins from the centre).
