Pinya de Rosa

Between Blanes and Lloret de Mar sits the Pinya de Rosa botanic garden. Although inaccessible by public transport, Pinya de Rosa is equal in splendour to the Mar i Murtra garden. It was founded by Catalan engineer Dr. Ferran Riviere de Caralt in 1945 and was later declared a natural landscape of national interest. Due to its reduced accessibility, even during the months of July and August you can enjoy spectacular, cacti dominated flora (approx. 7000 different plant species) and a glorious sea view in the utmost tranquillity. You  will barely come across another person there.
