La Rovina Beach Empuriabrava

Playa La Rovina beach starts at the harbour entrance to Empuriabrava and extends some 1,500 m north to the outskirts of the Roses - Santa Margarida city areas. Most of this sandy beach borders the conservation area of Aiguamolls, north of Empuriabrava. Three of Empuriabrava’s camping grounds are close to this beach, meaning that many caravans permanently influence – or mar – the appearance of the beach, depending on your view. This state of affairs is, however, due to change.

La Rubina beach has lifeguard stations and surfboard rental facilities. Unfortunately, there are no showers.

Tip: Take a look at the jostling weekend sailors in the mouth of the harbour at the southern end of the beach.

Access to La Rubina Beach:

Distance to the centre of Empuriabrava: The beach starts directly at the northern end of the city.

By car: Via the C-260 (C-68). Take the Empuriabrava exit just before Roses. Stay on this road (Carrer Xaloc) and continue to the end.

Parking at Playa Rubina: There is free parking above the beach.
