Castell Sant Joan Blanes
The remains of the palatial Castle Castell Sant Joan tower above Blanes.
The first written records of the castle date back to the 11th century. It celebrated its golden age between the 13th and 15th centuries.
It is worth the journey up, if only for the glorious view to be enjoyed in every possible direction.

Adjacent to Castell Sant Joan lies the little Ermita de Sant Joan chapel, which allegedly dates back to the 15th century.
