Cala Banys

Small rocky cove with a spectacular steep slope in the background – ideal for fishing and snorkelling. This is no place for those who wish to sunbathe in comfort on the beach.

At the southern end of Playa Lloret, Lloret de Mar’s town beach, a footpath leads past the bronze scultpture of the fisherman’s wife Monument de la Dona Marinera to Cala Banys beach: highly recommended for morning jogging or a walk. From the bar of the same name, Bar Cala Banys, you can enjoy a wonderful view. Above lies a beautiful pinewood and the Castell Sant Joan castle.

Access: Cala Banys

Distance from the center of Lloret de Mar: 0,5 km

On foot: approx. 10 minute walk from Playa de Lloret town beach along the sea in a southerly direction.

By car: Head south at the southern end of the main beach Playa Lloret (go straight ahead at the round about, up the mountain). The beach lies beneath the hill. Once you have reached Playa Lloret it is hardly worth continuing by car.

Parking: Free parking is available above the cove in front of the Cala Banys bar or further out at Castell Sant Joan castel (approx. 5-10 mins on foot).
