Bus to Empuriabrava from Girona airport: Buses from the Sagalés/Sarfa company travel several times a day from Girona airport to Empuriabrava.

During the summer months, the busses drive to the centre of Empuriabrava, and during the rest of the year stop at the C-260 (C-68) which leads to Roses. This stop is called Cruilla Empuriabrava. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from there to the centre. Alternately, you can travel from Cruilla Empuriabrava to the centre on the Empuriabrava bus that links the city with Castelló d'Empúries (see below).

Travel time: about 1 hour 10 minutes. Price: about 13 €.

Bus to Empuriabrava from Girona airport: From central Barcelona: Sagalés/Sarfa busses travel several times a day from the bus terminus at Estación del Norte (Estació del Nord) in Barcelona to Empuriabrava. Travel time: about 1 hour 35 minutes. Price: about 16 €.

Bus to Empuriabrava from Barcelona airport: There is no direct connection from Barcelona airport to Empuriabrava, unless you hire private transport. From Barcelona airport, you first have to travel to the centre of Barcelona.

The easiest option is to take the airport bus Aerobús A1 from directly in front of the terminal building. Price: about 6 €. You can also take the local train Cercanías C-10 (recognisable by a reversed white C on a red circle) to Barcelona. Price: about 4 €. Once in Barcelona, you have to go by tram, metro (M) or taxi to the Estació del Nord bus terminus and take the bus to Empuriabrava from there.

Bus travel time: about 1 hour 35 minutes. Price: about 16 €.

Empuriabrava local busses: local busses travel from Empuriabrava to numerous cities along the Costa Brava and throughout Catalonia.

Other destinations (many only in the high season) include Cadaqués, El Port de la Selva, Llança, Vila Sacra, Tossa de Mar, Lloret de Mar, etc.
